1. Acceptance & Service Relationship
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Refined Home Styling website and your interactions with our residential renovation, remodeling, design coordination, installation, and related home improvement services. By submitting an inquiry, requesting a consultation, approving a proposal, or engaging our services, you acknowledge these terms. A project-specific written agreement may establish additional requirements, and those project documents will control matters specifically addressed within them.
2. Consultations, Proposals & Project Information
Information exchanged during an initial consultation is used to understand your objectives, property requirements, preferred finishes, anticipated budget, and desired project timing. Website content, preliminary discussions, photographs, and verbal descriptions are provided for planning purposes and should not be interpreted as a final commitment to perform a particular service. A binding project relationship is established only through the applicable proposal, service agreement, work order, or other written confirmation accepted by the parties.
3. Client Decisions & Approvals
Clients are responsible for reviewing project information and providing timely approvals for selections, layouts, finishes, fixtures, appliances, colors, materials, and other decisions assigned to them. Delays in approvals can affect ordering, installation sequences, subcontractor coordination, and completion targets. Refined Home Styling may rely on approved specifications when proceeding with procurement or construction activities, and changes requested after approval may require additional time or cost.
4. Existing Conditions & Discovery
Renovation work involves existing properties where certain conditions may remain concealed until walls, ceilings, flooring, cabinets, fixtures, or other components are opened or removed. Existing wiring, plumbing, framing, moisture conditions, previous repairs, structural components, or other hidden circumstances may differ from information available before construction. When such conditions materially affect the planned work, the scope, schedule, materials, or pricing may need to be revised through the appropriate project approval process.
5. Materials, Fixtures & Substitutions
Materials and products are selected according to the approved project scope and applicable client specifications. Availability may change because of supplier inventory, manufacturing schedules, discontinued products, shipping interruptions, or other market conditions. If an approved selection becomes unavailable, Refined Home Styling may communicate available alternatives for consideration. Any upgrade, downgrade, substitution, or client-requested product change may affect project pricing and installation timing.
6. Project Scheduling & Coordination
Project schedules are prepared using the information and dependencies known when planning occurs. Construction timing may be affected by inspections, permit processing, material deliveries, specialty trade availability, weather, property conditions, client selections, access limitations, or changes to the approved scope. Any projected completion date is therefore a reasonable scheduling target unless the applicable written agreement expressly establishes a different commitment. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes affecting the anticipated sequence of work.
7. Site Access & Household Responsibilities
Clients must provide reasonable and timely access to designated work areas during scheduled service periods. Work zones should be kept sufficiently clear to allow safe movement of personnel, tools, equipment, and materials. Personal valuables, delicate belongings, artwork, documents, electronics, and other items that could be affected by construction activity should be removed or appropriately protected before work begins. Household members, guests, and pets should follow reasonable restrictions established around active construction areas.
8. Permits, Approvals & Property Information
Where permitting or regulatory approvals are included within the agreed project scope, Refined Home Styling may coordinate applicable submissions and inspections. Clients remain responsible for providing accurate property information and promptly identifying known restrictions such as HOA requirements, property access limitations, existing agreements, or other conditions that may affect the project. Permit requirements vary according to project type and location, and additional approvals may become necessary when the scope changes.
9. Change Orders & Additional Services
Requested modifications, upgraded selections, additional rooms, revised layouts, or work resulting from newly discovered conditions may constitute additional services. When a change affects labor, materials, design, procurement, or scheduling, the adjustment should be documented and approved before the additional work proceeds whenever reasonably possible. Work already completed or materials already ordered may not be reversible without associated costs. Refined Home Styling will make reasonable efforts to explain material changes before proceeding.
10. Payment Requirements
Deposits, progress payments, final balances, and other payment obligations are determined by the applicable project agreement. Clients agree to make payments according to the established schedule. Failure to satisfy a required payment may affect procurement, scheduling, continuation of work, or access to additional services where permitted by the applicable agreement. Questions concerning invoices or payment milestones should be communicated promptly so that discrepancies can be reviewed before they interfere with project administration.
11. Workmanship & Product Coverage
Any workmanship warranty or service commitment provided by Refined Home Styling is governed by the specific terms stated in the applicable project documentation. Products, appliances, equipment, fixtures, and other manufactured components may carry separate manufacturer warranties. Such warranties are controlled by the respective manufacturer's terms, exclusions, registration requirements, maintenance instructions, and claim procedures. Warranty coverage may be affected by misuse, neglect, unauthorized modification, ordinary wear, improper maintenance, or circumstances unrelated to the original workmanship.
12. Safety & Worksite Conditions
Residential renovation can create temporary conditions involving dust, noise, equipment, tools, exposed surfaces, stored materials, temporary closures, or restricted access. Clients agree to respect reasonable worksite safety measures and instructions. Refined Home Styling may restrict access to active work areas when necessary for safety or efficient project operations. Clients should also notify our team of known hazards, access concerns, household conditions, or other information that could reasonably affect safe performance of the work.
13. Third-Party Professionals & Suppliers
Certain projects may require coordination with independent manufacturers, suppliers, delivery companies, specialty contractors, designers, engineers, inspectors, or other professionals. Their services may be governed by separate terms and warranties. Refined Home Styling may coordinate their participation when included within the project scope, but matters exclusively controlled by an independent provider may remain subject to that provider's own responsibilities, schedules, warranties, and policies.
14. Website Content & Intellectual Property
Website text, photographs, graphics, logos, branding, layouts, project examples, service descriptions, and other original materials are provided for legitimate website use and may be protected by intellectual property laws. Website images and project examples may not represent the exact result, dimensions, materials, or configuration of another property. You may view the website for personal purposes but should not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or commercially exploit protected content without authorization.
15. Responsible Use & Communications
Website visitors and clients agree not to misuse our contact forms, knowingly provide false information, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious software, interfere with website functionality, impersonate another person, or use our communication channels for unlawful or abusive purposes. We reserve the right to decline or restrict interactions that reasonably appear fraudulent, harmful, unrelated to our services, or inconsistent with responsible website use.
16. Cancellations, Delays & Project Suspension
A request to cancel, postpone, or suspend a project should be communicated as early as possible. Depending on the project's status, labor may have been scheduled, custom materials may have been ordered, deliveries may have been arranged, or preparation may already have occurred. Applicable charges, credits, outstanding balances, or rescheduling requirements will be determined according to the project agreement and circumstances involved. Resuming a suspended project may require a revised schedule based on current availability.
17. Unforeseen Events & Limitation of Responsibility
Refined Home Styling will make reasonable efforts to perform agreed services, but certain circumstances may be outside our reasonable control. These may include severe weather, supplier disruptions, transportation delays, governmental actions, inspection requirements, utility interruptions, hidden property conditions, or other events that materially affect project operations. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, responsibilities and remedies relating to a specific project are governed by the applicable written agreement, and nothing in these terms is intended to exclude obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Questions, Updates & General Terms
If you have questions about a proposal, project requirement, schedule, material, invoice, warranty, or another service matter, we encourage you to contact Refined Home Styling promptly. These Terms & Conditions may be updated when our services, website features, business practices, or applicable requirements change. Updated website terms may be posted with a revised date, while existing projects may continue to be governed by the terms contained in their applicable written agreements.
